In this regard, Southern Railway has announced that the Vande Bharat train will run from Chennai to Nagercoil on Thursdays from January 4 to 25.
This Vande Bharat train leaves Chennai Egmore at 5:15 am and reaches Nagercoil at 2:10 pm. He was told that the train will leave at 2:50 pm from the other side and reach Chennai at 11:45 pm at night.
Vande Bharat Railway starts from Egmore and stops at Tambaram, Villupuram, Trichy, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar and Tirunelveli railway stations. The railways said this was done to ease congestion during the festival.
