Today is the last day to pay property tax with 5% discount in urban local bodies across Tamil Nadu.
According to the new rules, in a financial year, the first half-yearly fund should be paid by April 30 and the second half-yearly fund by October 30. Accordingly, a maximum rebate of Rs 35,000 will be given if the tax is paid by today.
A special interest of 1% per month will be levied on late payment of tax.
