Bollywood celebrities were on a property buying and selling spree.
In November, actor Amitabh Bachchan and his wife, Jaya Bachchan, bequeathed Pratiksha bungalow, the first of the five family homes in Juhu, to their 49-year-old daughter Shweta Nanda as a gift.The property on 10th Road in Juhu Vile Parle Development scheme was transferred through two separate gift deeds for two plots registered on November 8. The first plot, owned by Amitabh Bachchan and his Rajya Sabha MP wife, measures 9,585 square feet and is valued at ₹31.39 crore while the second plot in the name of Amitabh is spread over 7,254 square feet and is valued at ₹19.24 crore, according to Zapkey.com that has accessed the registration documents.
Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is known to be a keen investor in real estate, sold two penthouses spanning a built up area of 2,292 sq ft for ₹6 crore in Lokhandwala Complex in Oshiwara. Both penthouses are located on the 9th floor of Karan Apartment in Lokhandwala Complex. The small penthouse spans 860 sq ft and was sold for ₹2.25 crore, while the larger penthouse measuring 1,432 sq ft was sold for ₹3.75 crore, according to registration documents accessed and shared by Zapkey.com. Both transactions were registered separately on October 23 and October 25 and were executed by the actress’ 69-year-old mother Madhu Chopra on her behalf. The penthouses were purchased by one Abhishek Chaubey, a 45-year-old Jogeshwari resident, after paying stamp duty of ₹36 lakh for both transactions.
Actor Ranveer Singh sold two flats in a luxury tower in Mumbai for ₹15.24 crore. Kamal Haasan’s daughter and actor Akshara Haasan purchased a 2,354 sq ft apartment in a luxury project in Khar in western suburbs for ₹15.75 crore, industry sources said.The apartment 1303 is located on the 13th floor of 15-storey luxury tower Ekta Verve on 16th Road in Khar and has a built-up area of 2,245 sq ft and an attached balcony. The deal includes three car parking spaces, according to the registration documents.The agreement for sale for the property was signed between a Bandra couple and the 33-year-old actress and registered on September 27. She paid a stamp duty of ₹94.50 lakh.
Actor Manoj Bajpayee and his wife Shabana Raza Bajpayee purchased four office units collectively spanning 7,620 sq ft carpet area in Signature building, a commercial tower in Oshiwara, for ₹31.08 crore with each costing ₹7.77 crore. The four units are located on the 12th floor of the building located off Veera Desai Road in Andheri and each has a carpet area of 1,905 sq ft each. The deal came with 12 car parking spaces. Bajpayee and his wife Shabana, a former actress, paid a stamp duty of ₹1.86 crore, according to documents accessed and shared by Floortap.com, a platform from CRE Matrix group for commercial properties.
Ajay Devgn has reportedly invested in five office units in Mumbai’s Andheri area. The sale deed was registered on April 19.As per documents accessed by data analytics firm CRE Matrix, the actor has paid ₹45.09 crore for the properties. The news of Ajay’s purchase came after Kajol reportedly bought an apartment in Mumbai for ₹16.5 crore. It’s said to have a carpet area of 2,493 square feet and four car parking spots. The seller was Bharat Realty Ventures and the registration was done on April 13.
